Summer in Boston is the perfect time to be outside. The city has an extensive list of outdoor dining, where guests can take to the patios and bask in the New England sights and sounds. Outdoor dining is a great way to take in the city, people-watch, and escape the office.

Here are our top five outside eats near One65 Main:

Porto

Right near the Boston Public Library is a raw bar with an ample patio perfect for taking in our bustling city. Porto serves Mediterranean seafood caught straight from New England waters, offering a menu based on regional seasonality. Highly recommended is their “Bar Bites” menu available at the bar/lounge starting at 2:30 pm and an “Oyster Program” that offers specials throughout the week. Patio reservations are required and accessibility is weather dependent.

ReelHouse

You couldn’t get closer to the Boston Harbor without getting wet. Located directly on the shore, ReelHouse is an innovative waterfront destination in East Boston. Above the watery surface extends a sweeping skyline view — a scenic backdrop to globally inspired coastal dishes that are Instagram-worthy. To be honest, the colorful aesthetic looks too good to eat! Sibling oyster bar The Tall Ship is located only a short walk away, positioned aboard an actual 245-foot moored vessel.

Bostonia

Named a ‘Top 25 In The US For Everyday Dining’ by Trip Advisor, Bostonia Public House has been serving locals and travelers alike since 2014. An addition to the landscape of downtown Boston, the space is a rustic and modernistic space that pays homage to our city. Near the Financial District, patio diners will glimpse city life outside the Board of Trade historic building, and choose from an American menu with plenty of cocktail options.

Alcove

A welcoming neighborhood restaurant near Boston’s West End, Alcove is filled with Mediterranean-inspired offerings and fantastic cocktails. Positioned on Lovejoy Wharf, guests can spot the Boston Harbor from their vantage. Fresh coastal New England dishes are expertly crafted, from brunch through dinner.

75 On Liberty Wharf

It’s the best-reviewed harbor-based restaurant in upscale New England. Positioned in the seaport district, outdoor diners can enjoy supper by reserving a patented Igloo in the “75 Bubble Village”,  where grub is served in one of a dozen air-conditioned domes. The bubbles are also equipped with interior lighting for nighttime use and have installed Bluetooth speakers for personally curated dining soundtracks. On weekends, the establishment is a popular brunch spot, offering bottles of bubbly and surf-and-turf Eggs Benedict.
